Last January we came up with a list of stars who will make it big in 2009. And now that the year is about to end, let us review kung tama ba ang aming mga predictions. Text by Loretta G. Ramirez. Photos by Mitch S. Mauricio and courtesy of GMA Network.

Jennylyn Mercado

JC Tiuseco
Being the first Pinoy Sole Survivor, JC learned how to survive sa mundo ng show business. Aside from hosting Unang Hirit, he proved that he can also act sa mga madra-dramang mga stories ng Kung Aagawin Mo ang Lahat sa Akin at Sana Ngayong Pasko.

Rhian Ramos
This year Rhian Ramos proved na siya ang leading lady ng mga big stars ng GMA. From Richard Gutierrez, Dingdong Dantes and JC de Vera, she proved her worth sa network. And with a string of blockbuster movies to her name, siguradong mas sisikat pa siya this year.

With LaLola, Ngayon at Kailanman at Sana Ngayong Pasko, unti-unting ipinapakita ni JC ang kanyang talent as a dramatic actor.

Glaiza de Castro
Ngayong taon, pinatunayan ni Glaiza how flexible she is when it comes to her craft. With Gagambino, Kung Aagawin Mo ang Lahat sa Akin, Stairway to Heaven, and a number of indie movies, she is considered to be one of the remarkable kontrabidas we have now on television.

Aljur Abrenica
With Luna Mystika, Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin?, All My Life, at ang kanilang pinaka bagong prime time soap, The Last Prince, Aljur has many things to thank for when 2009 finally ends.

Sheena Halili
LaLola, Zorro, Rosalinda, Pinoy Records, Full House, and the blockbuster movie Yaya and Angelina, The Spoiled Brat Movie ay ilan lamang sa mga naging projects ni Sheena ngayong taon.

Robert ‘Buboy’ Villar
When it comes to talent, this award-winning child actor continues to amaze us.

There are also notable Kapuso movers that we should mention ngayong 2009. Sila Ms. Susan Roces, Claudine Barreto, Bayani Agbayani, TJ Trinidad at Geoff Eigenmann made their marks sa GMA.

Why are you not putting Pauline Luna in the lead? She is much prettier than most of your leads.
