Bago tuluyang magtapos ang 'Stairway to Heaven' ngayong gabi, Dingdong Dantes and Rhian Ramos join Miss Lilybeth Rasonable, Entertainment TV's AVP for Drama, in thanking the people who supported the show. Text and Photos by Jason John S. Lim.

Aminado si Dingdong Dantes na hindi niya talaga alam kung ano ang dapat niyang sabihin sa naging success ng show. What he does know is that gusto niyang magpasalamat sa lahat ng taong bumuo ng show. "Unang-una, sa staff na nagtitiwala sa amin at pinababayaan kami gawin kung ano ang gusto naming gawin—thank you sa inyo."

"Sa aming mga directors, kay Direk Joyce Bernal at Direk Andoy Ranay, hanep kayo," dagdag pa niya. "Maraming salamat for inspiring us all the time." Dingdong also says he wants to thank ang buong cast. "Alam ko, hindi mabubuo kung anuman ang mayroon ang Stairway to Heaven kung wala ang kontribusyon ng bawat isa. Hindit tatayo ito kung mawawala ang ni isa sa amin dito—naniniwala ako doon."

He continues, "maraming salamat that we are given this much blessing."

And of course, Dingdong also wants to thank the people who were the real reason for the show's success: ang mga nanuod at patuloy na nanunuod. "Maraming, maraming salamat sa inyo."

For co-star Rhian Ramos, bukod sa mga pinasalamatan ni Dingdong, she also wants to thank the people who chose her para maging Jodi—hindi lang dahil sa exposure na ibinigay ng show sa kanya, kundi para na rin sa lessons na natutunan niya throughout the show:

"I just wanted to thank everyone for such a great experience during the whole show. For me it was majorly a learning experience. And I just wanted to thank all of you, because it wasn't just from one or two people that I learned—with everyone that I've been with, in every scene, from both the directors, and their assistant directors, and the entire staff, maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat."

Kaya nga pahabol ni Rhian, "Sana makatrabaho ko kayong lahat ulit someday, kasi mami-miss ko kayo."

Words of Gratitude from Miss Lilybeth

"Maraming salamat, first of all, to our friends from the press," panimula ni Miss Lilybeth, ang AVP ng Drama division of GMA-7's Entertainment TV. "Throughout these 13 weeks, sinamahan niyo kami, tinulungan niyo kami, pinuna niyo kami—at nakatulong ito sa amin. Maraming, maraming salamat."

Miss Lilybeth also thanks the staff, headed by Mr. Joseph Buncalan. "Isa lang ang masasabi ko: job well done." And the shows program manager, Miss Cheryl Ching-Sy, "palaging nandiyan naman yan—maramign salamat sa magandang trabaho, always striving for excellence. Which is what we do."

Tuloy niya, "to the creative team, maraming salamat sa kanila. Sa aming dalawang director, kay Direk Andoy at saka kay Bb. Joyce na palagi akong dine-dedma sa mga papuri. Ayaw tumanggap ng papuri—pero wala akong pakialam, tine-text ko pa rin siya. Maraming salamat sa magandang trabaho. At uulitin ko kahit ayaw niyong tanggapin, gandang-ganda ako sa ginagawa niyo dito."

Siyempre pa, hindi kakalimutan ni Miss Lilybeth ang cast ng show. "Kasi maliit lang 'yung cast, kilalang-kilala mo 'yung bawat character. Memoryado mo lahat ng ginagawa nila, sinasabi nila, gabi-gabi." Kuwento nga ni Miss Lilybeth, humihinto raw ang trabaho sa Entertainment TV pag oras na ng panonood ng Stairway to Heaven. She continues, "everywhere I go, people would go up to me [and] say that it's their favorite show."

"Ang pinakamalaking reward sa lahat, hindi 'yung ratings, [but rather] 'yung alam mo na naapektuhan mo in a positive way 'yung buhay, the activities of people who watch the show." Kaya nga tuloy ni Miss Lilybeth na, "I would like to believe, and think, that this is one of the greatest graces or blessings this year."

And of course, she also congratulates the cast for a job well done; "most especially Dingdong and Rhian. You make me very proud. Ang laki ng growth niyo bilang dramatic actors, so I think you've proven a lot in this show."

To Glaiza de Castro, Miss Lilybeth says "talaga ang layo pa ng itatakbo mo sa larangan na 'to, so congratulations." She continues, "To TJ [Trinidad], na most of the time pinaiiyak ako, hindi tuloy ako makapili kung gusto ko si Tristan o si Cholo. Kasi talagang he's giving Cholo the run for his money also. So thank you very much."

Miss Lilybeth also thanks the rest of the cast, like Miss Jean Garcia, Miss Sandy Andolong, Carlo Gonzales, etcetera. "Thank you very much for accepting this project." And hindi puwedeng makalimutan ni Miss Lilybeth ang isa sa mga breakout stars ng show, "of course, Mr. John! I always tell everyone you're my favorite. Really!

   for me STH has proved to be the best teleserye that GMA has ever produced. Dingdong and Rhian were terrific..higit sila mas bagay kaysa kung ka tambal niya si bruhang marian...pareho gwapo at maganda si DD and RR, at higit sa lahat, "social" sila dalawa...kung baga mamahalin yung mga mukha nila. it seems that both of them fell in love with one another..makikita mo naman sa mga love scenes nila..parang nag alib sila! so pwede ba mag request na bigyan ba sila ng project together? at higit sa lahat pwede ba gawin DVD yung favorite ng marami...STH of course!!! from: justme and everybody else.

   I am depressed and I missesd STH so much!!! I wish Rhian and Dingdong will have another project together... please GMA!!!!

   grabe galing at ganda ng STH miss ko na sya!! sana ung ENDLESS LOVE SERIES remake nila.... GMA please do the reamke of ENDLESS LOVE SERIES!!!

   I agree with everyone here that RR & DD should have another project together! Ibang-iba talaga yung chemistry nila. And the show was so surreal to watch.. parang hindi soap opera! Everyone's acting was so natural which definitely captured our emotions. Stairway is definitely missed by many. The show deserves more than congratulations. : ) DVD release please!!

   congratulations to the whole cast and the directors for a job well done... STH has touched and affected me a lot... I cried, laughed, smiled, giggled, got depressed and mad with the characters... the actors portrayed their characters so well... the scenes were so natural... minsan nga parang feeling ko may mga adlibs... sobrang kilig yong scenes nila rhian and dingdong... I can't remember the last time na kinilig ako sa show and movies... galing din ni badet tsaka yong mga bading... feeling ko ka-opisina ko rin sila... everytime sinasabi nila yong "yaya" nami-miss ko ang Pilipinas... love Mr. John's acting and accent also... ang galing din nila jean and glaiza, maiinis ka talaga sa kanila... and miss sandy andolong is so elegant and classy so perfect for her character. I think that's how she is in real life... tristan and his father were portrayed so well din... and dindong OMG!!! how can an actor be so goodlooking and grew up from a well off family and be so amazing when it comes to his acting at same tim

   i want the chemistry of dingdong and rhian sana sila lng ang maging loveteam kasi mas bagay tlga sila. sana mabigyan uli sila ng project kasi maganda tlga ung tambalan nila kakakilig..

   wooow....sayang di ako nkapanuod... lage kc ako asa boarding house eh.. lah t.v..sad.... pero nung tym n npapanuod ko sya.. grabeh.. ang gling nlang dalwa...hmmmh mor projects.. sana ENDLESS LOVE naman ang i REMAKED niu... want to see the drama of jenny and johny.. plss. pls... plsss..please!! thnk you.. i hope mbasa niu toh... wait ko ang endless love 1 remake... love lots.. janine beloy

    sana nga kung ire-remake ng GMA ang winter sonata sila uli ang bida bagay kasi si dingdong at rhian. i hope may project pa kayo together, aabangan namin yun, alam n'yo kasi iba po yung chemistry nila on screen para talagang totoo sila sa isa't isa and every episode of stairway to heaven are very touching, sobrang nakakaiyak. congrats!!!!!!!!! sobarbg ganda ng stairway to heaven.
