Sundays have just gotten a new jolt of electricitythrough 'SOP Fully Charged!' If you think 'SOP' ruled before, you're in for a new treat as the choice Sunday Concert TV pulls out all the stops. Text by Jason John S. Lim. Photos by Mitch S. Mauricio.
Super energized ang SOP Fully Charged this Sunday, with major launches ng Full House at ng Ang Panday. If that's not enough, makiki-party din sina Darna (Marian Rivera), Ding (Robert Villar) at Pancho (Dennis Trillo); Mark Herras launches his newest dance album; and La Diva premieres their first music video as a group.
If you were surprised by the changes in last week's SOP, expect more in the coming weeksincluding this Sunday's live episode.
Nang makapanayam namin ang bagong Program Manager nito na si Ramel "Rams" David, he explained some of the changes that have happened and will continue to happen.
Something new. "May segments, pero hindi regular 'yung artist doon sa segment. So 'yung segment, iba-iba 'yung puwedeng sumayaw, kumanta." ‘Yan ang sinabi sa amin ni Sir Rams about the new format.
At sa pagpasok ng new faces sa SOP, gaya nina Jake Vargas, Barbie Forteza, Joshua Dionisio, Alex Casto, Jay Perillo, Prince Stefan and Edgar Allan Guzman, there will also be more new segments according to him.
This is one of the ways na naisip ng SOP to make the show more energizedby continuously providing performance after performance, which means less talk.
"Tapos, mayroon kaming running LED, na instead na may ina-announce na 'happy birthday,' 'thank you,' doon na lang. To save time."
Bukod dito, SOP Fully Charged also introduces the 'One Time' segment. Sir Rams explains, "parang labanan ‘yan every month. So three weeks na may iba-ibang production numbers. Tapos sa fourth week, malalaman kung sino 'yung nanalo sa voting. So kung sino may gusto nung number, puwede kang mag-vote."
Last week it was Gian Magdangal. Can you guess who will go out of their comfort zone this week?
Sir Rams says, "kaya SOP iLike e. Pwedeng mag-text, pwedeng mag-chatinteractive 'yung last hour."
Of course, the actual chat happens throughout the whole program. And you can join them this Sunday by clicking here.
Regularly irregular. Another way of keeping viewers coming back is SOP Fully Charged's decision to rotate the younger performers every week, para hindi nasasawa ang mga viewers.
"Para we can give chance din to others," explain ni Sir Rams.
But of course, may ilang faces na hindi puwedeng mawala sa SOPlike Jolina Magdangal, Dennis Trillo, Heart Evangelista, Jan Nieto and La Diva. But Jolina and Jan will both be taking short breaks muna para sa isang grand image makeover.
Better preparations. With all these changes, siyempre kailangan sabayan rin ng mga performers ang continuous improvement na ginagawa ng show.
Kris Bernal, one of the relaunch performers, share with us: "Ngayon, mas mahaba na 'yung time ng rehearsals. Pinag-aaralan namin 'yung mga sayaw a week before the live episode. So ngayon medyo mas pulido, mas binabantayan 'yung bawat step, mas pinag-aaralanat nagpupuyat kami."
Kaya naman mas matutuwa ang viewers sa mga mapapanood nila, according to Kris. "Kasi mas lalong pinagbubutihan at pinaghuhusayan ng lahat ng artista."
Dagdag pa niya, "talagang bawal ang walang energy."
SOP Fully Charged energizes your weekend viewing habits every Sunday after Joey's Quirky World. Don't miss this Sunday's episode as Lea Salonga takes the SOP concert stage for the very first time!

Dissapointed kami dito sa New Jersey this last Sunday show ng SOP kasi wala si Aljur at Kris, may mga number na hindi ma enjoy kasi hindi kilala iyong sumasaya /kumakanta kahit ilagay pa sa screen ang mga pangalan nila nakakawalang ganang panoorin, buti na lang nandoon sina Marian Rivera/ Lea Salonga/ Mark Herras medyo nagkabuhay ang SOP kahit nga si Dennis T, saglit lang ang part niya. Madamig oras kayong sinayang, sana makita uli namin ang Bro Band, sayaw at kanta ng Beutiful Girls at dance number ni Aljur.

i think sop fully charged just got worse.. the better segments were changed.. i think the problem is that the show do not know what the audience really want.. they just made it worse by putting unknown artists.. i think major problems are casting, choreography, and most of all the director! the stage is better now.. but i hope they remove alex castro, sexbomb, jay perillo, krissa mae and other unknown. i like barbie and joshua dionesio, others? uh-oh! choreography should be change.. and enough of the circus-like openings and the obvious unpractices artists who did not even memorized their songs..

Just want to have some suggestion. I just noticed in SOP that Kyla do not have her own segment. Could you give kyla her own segment because I really love her voice and she's the only reason why I watch the show. I also believe that she has the talent for her to shine as a singer. Like Sarah in ASAP, I think the reason why she's so popular nowadays because ABS is giving her the exposure she needs. And i beleive Kyla deserve to be like Sarah at the least because of her very beautiful voice. Please give her the exposure she needs for her to be the star that she deserve to be... She's so talented as a singer.

Wow I like this news, I like that the artists now are working real hard to give real entertainment and not just toy around with their fancy clothes & crazy antics just to gain audience. At least now they've realized to focus on dancing, singing and everything that has to do with entertaining. Okay yan na lahat nagtatrabaho na ng mabuti hindi yung pa-cute at pa-sweet na lang parati sa tv, it's hightime that actors/actress/singers/performers show real talent rather that depend on their physical attributes alone.
