GMA Artist Center adds to its roster of current talents nang kanilang bigyan ng management contract si Ynna Asistio. Text by Erick Mataverde . Photos by Mio de Castro.
"Hindi ko po ine-expect na ganito ang pag-welcome sa akin. Hindi ko ma-explain ang feeling ko, na parang ang saya-saya ng pakiramdam," ang bungad ni Yna Asistio nang kapanayamin siya ng iGMA after the contract signing.
Maalala natin that around two years ago, Ynna did a number of shows with the Kapuso Network, including Who's Your Daddy Now?, La Vendetta and Mga Mata Ni Anghelita.
Ngunit ngayon Ynna says she is now prepared to be more versatile na sa mga tatanggapin niyang trabaho.
"Kasi before [ang] mga roles ko pasweet-sweet, siguro ngayon 18 [years old na ako] mas mature roles na. Pero andun pa rin 'yung sweetness, kasi hindi maalis sa mukha ko 'yun eh," paliwanag niya. "Parang nag a-alangan sila sa itsura ko sa love team at alanganin for bata. So nasa gitna ako, so medyo mahirap i-lugar. (laughs)."
Though inamin ni Ynna na, "ang gusto ko talaga, kaya ako pumasok dito, is singing, kasi 'yun ang gusto kong gawin. Pero nung nagkaroon ako, 'yung first opportunity ko, [which] is acting, so kinuha ko na. At least mahasa ako."
Dugtong niya na she hopes na matuloy ang dati pa niyang plano na magkaroon ng sarili niyang album.
"Ginawan po ako ng songs ni Tito Benny Saturno, pero hindi siya natuloy," lahad ng dalaga. "Pero more of love songs – meroon din upbeat songs, pero more of love songs kasi 'yung voice ko pang-ganun."
Likewise present during the contract signing were GMA Artist Center (GMAAC) Head, Ms. Ida Henares, Yna's mother, Ms. Nadia Montenegro and her co-manager, Tita Annabelle Rama.
Nang tanungin si Ms. Ida tungkol sa co-management ng GMMAC at ni Tita Annabelle, very positive naman siya sa arrangement na ito.
"She's (Tita Annabelle) really been easy to talk to. Even with the contract she's been very easy to talk to," deklara ni Ms. Ida. " Mayoon lang kaming mga ibang points na idi-discuss. And as a matter of fact, she was the one who really brought the artists over, so it’s a nice gesture.
"It will be, of course, GMA Artist Center [that will decide for Ynna], but hindi namin ever line-leave out ang mga managers. Kaya nga co-managers eh, jointly we'll work together for a talent."
Para kay Yna naman, isang malaking birthday present ang kanyang pagbabalik-Kapuso, dahil itong darating na Linggo she will be celebrating her debut in SOP.
"Panoorin nyo po ako sa SOP this Sunday at magsasayaw ako! Kaya mga Kapuso, gusto ko po kayo i-invite this Sunday, September 27 – birthday prod ko sa SOP. Birthday ko talaga 'yun," ang imbita niya sa mga manonood. "Basta abangan nyo 'yung lifting ko dun! (laughs) Kasama ko 'yung Royal Era Girls, sila Ate Bubbles (Paraiso), Ate Ehra (Madrigal), Ate Michelle (Madrigal). Abangan nyo po ako at andito na po ulit ako sa GMA."
