Slowly but surely, nag-eenjoy na si JC Tiuseco sa bagong career path na kanyang tinahak: ang acting. And with 'Kung Aagawin Mo ang Lahat sa Akin,' JC says he is fortunate to have gotten great cast mates and an awesome staff to help him transition into being an actor. Text by Jason John S. Lim. Aminado si JC Tiuseco na marami pa siyang dapat matutunan when it comes to acting. Kaya nga malaki ang pasasalamat niya sa cast mates niya at sa staff ng Kung Aagawin Mo ang Lahat sa Akin, who are all very patient with him.
"Nag-eenjoy ako," he tells us during one of his off days from taping. "Mayroon kaming acting coach doon sa set na every time magte-take na, niyu-unit niya muna 'yung gagawin namin. Tinuturuan niya kami."
He's talking about Anne Villegas, ang resident acting coach ng Sine Novela block, who has handled many of GMA's up-and-coming talents. "Nag-workshop ako before [the show started]," inamin ni JC. "Pero 'yung acting coach namin doon sa set, sobrang laki ng tinutulong sa amin."
JC continues, "Wino-workshop pa niya ako while on the set, 'pag hindi ako nagte-take." Kuwento sa amin ng binata, "Napaiyak nga niya ako, kahit na wala pa naman akong iyak na scenes sa soap."
It's good to prepare nga naman.
Unfortunately, walang preparation si JC sa larangan ng love teams. While he has been partnered with the likes of Jennica Garcia, Katrina Halili and Jewel Mische in previous shows, iba pa rin ang pangmatagalang love team na dulot ng soaps.
Fortunately, JC was partnered with the very friendly and very helpful Maxene Magalona.
"Mabait kasi si Maxene, eh," JC says. "Parang inaalalayan niya ako in a way, na hindi naman niya sinasabi sa akin, pero mafi-feel mo naman na inaalalayan ka niya."
Of course, JC couldn't be more thankful sa kanyang partner. And an added plus? "Masaya siya katrabaho, eh—on- and off-cam."
To his fans, JC is also thankful: "Siyempre, sobrang happy ako na sinusuportahan nila ako, na nagustuhan naman nila 'yung acting ko."
And to keep the ball of gratitude rolling, dugtong niya, "At saka thank you din sa mga co-stars ko sa soap, gina-guide nila ako, at saka hindi nila ako pinagagalitan kapag nagkakamali ako, kasi madalas akong mabulol."
