Mabagyo that day, but these two ‘StarStruck: The Next Level’ alumni braved the winds, rain, and high waters upang hindi ma-dissapoint ang mga kanilang fans who waited patiently for their iGMA Live Chat debut. Text by Erick Mataverde. Interview by Loretta G. Ramirez. Photos by Mitch S. Mauricio.
"Very fun! Sobrang saya, I just hope we just had more time," said Stef Prescott during their post-chat interview with iGMA last July 17, 2009.
At sinegundahan naman ni Jewel Mische dahil, "kasi minsan lang ito eh, minsan lang ito mangyari."
Pero, what really was special for Stef during the live chat was to learn na maraming kababayan from abroad ang sumubaybay sa event na ito even though it was at the wee hours in in the morning sa kanila, they still made it a point to chat with them.
"'Yung mga people from abroad, 'yun ang pinaka nakaka-touch because the time is different eh, kasi madaling araw dun, so its like 'yung effort nila to wake up [to] just makasama kami, that's fun!" she declared.
For Jewel naman, ay 'yung mga ibang questions na 'compelling', surprised her. "Well siyempre, 'may mga questions na parang sobrang straight eh, nagulat ako!" she related.
Sa mga naka-miss ng Live Chat ng dalawang StarStruck beauties na ito, in a way sayang at hindi ninyo nakitang maglaro sila ng mala-'Pinoy Henyo' na game, where Stef treated us to her best Michael Jackson moves, while Jewel showed her modeling flair by posing like one of Charlie's Angels.
Ano pa? They did their best to answer the barrage of questions from the chatters as best they could, and even answered the live phone-in questions of lucky iGMA.tv forum member, 'kapuso_camhille', from Quezon City. Kaya napaka-enjoyable talaga ng kanilang pinaka unang live chat!
Online appreciation
Both Stef and Jewel were really grateful for the support of all their fans from around the world. Pero, siyempre, tuwang-tuwa din ang dalawa sa pagsali ng mga chatters dito sa Pilipinas bagama't masama ang panahon, hindi naman nito na-dampen ang kanilang energy level na mag-post ng mga tanong sa dalawa.
"Buti na lang may internet connection pa sila!" observed Stef, "Thank you so much for all the support and sana you guys continue to post sa forum namin ni Jewel sa 'Female Celebrities' [category] sa iGMA forum.
"I am 'Seattlelite' (Stef's username) there, I hope you guys can post with me, I post pictures a lot from my tapings. So I hope you guys just keep in touch. Alam ko may mga sarili kayong buhay, pero thank you dahil sobrang nakakatuwa," she concluded.
For Jewel, talagang na-appreciate niya ang pag-spend ng mga online fans nila ng kanilang oras with them: "Maraming, maraming salamat for spending your time with us. Alam naman namin na inabangan ninyo 'yung pagkakataon na ito, at kami rin naman inabangan namin. So kung kahit nasaan man kayo, lalo na 'yung mga nasa abroad na nagpuyat. Thank you so much! Thank you!
"[And] like what Stef said, sana po hindi po kayo mawala. Keep praying for us. It's not easy to be here [in show business], so we really need not only your interest kung ano man ang gagawin namin, but we really need prayers from you guys."
