Aminin na natinmost dads love to give advice. At dahil special weekend nila ngayon, three Kapuso celebrities share with us the best lessons they learned from their dear fathers! Text by Jason John S. Lim. Interviews by the iGMA Web Team. Photos by Mitch S. Mauricio.
Mark Anthony Fernandez may have lost his father physically, pero para sa kanya, he continues to live onsa puso niya, at sa mga aral na ibinahagi nito sa kanya at kanyang mga kapatid.
Mark Anthony shares, "The best lesson [is to] love your work. 'Yun 'yung favorite ko."
Dagdag ng aktor na maraming mga words of wisdom ang natanggap niya from the late Rudy Fernandez, but it has to be the example his father set that he finds the most valuable.
"Love your work, para your work will love you back," Mark Anthony tells us, completing his father's advice.
The same goes for Rhian Ramos and her dadteaching by example rin ang pamamaraan ni Gareth Howell with his daughter.
Kuwento ni Rhian: "Sa dalawang parents ko, 'yung mom ko yung teach nang teach ng lesson bago ka magkamalipara hindi ka na mag-make ng mistakes; 'yung daddy ko naman 'yung parang, if you want to learn how to swim, kailangan matulak ka [muna] sa tubig."
The young actress continues na for her dad, the only way to learn something is to actually go through it.
"Siya 'yung mas nagte-take ng chances; mas daring. 'Yun 'yung namana ko sa kanya," she says, and has even adapted her father's life quote as her own. "'It's better to regret something that you did, than to regret some thing you didn't do.'"
Rhian shares na isa ito sa mga reasons kung bakit siya sumabak sa showbiz even before she knew what she was doing: "I jumped into it. Paano ko malalaman kung hindi ko gusto, kung hindi ko ginawa? Na-enjoy ko naman.
"So buti na lang naging ganoon 'yung mentality ko."
Para naman kay Alfred Vargas, more encompassing ang advice na nakuha niya from his dad.
Alfred reveals to us that his dad has always been his adviser, "especially when I make life-changing decisions." And so far, hindi pa naman pumapalya ang advice sa kanya ng dad niyathe most prominent being "There is nothing you cannot do when you put your mind to it."
The actor also shared two other pieces of advice from his dad na talagang sinusunod niya: "Just have faith in God, tsaka stay anchored to your family."
If you think about it, lahat ng kanilang sinabi ay mga advice na puwede ring mag-apply sa atin, hindi ba?
Ikaw, Kapuso? Anong advice ng dad mo ang gusto mong i-share sa amin? Post na sa comment box below! And don't forget to greet your dad a Happy Father's Day this Sunday!
