As "All About Eve" ends tonight, cast members share their thoughts about the show, their characters and what makes this prime time gem special. Text by Jason John S. Lim. Photos by Mitch S. Mauricio.
Since All About Eve aired, Kapuso viewers have become privy to goings-on sa loob ng isang television network up to what happens behind the scenes sa isang successful talk show. But unlike what has been shown on TV, the scenes off-camera are not all about sampalan and shouting matches.
"It's all about fun," Iza Calzado tells iGMA during a set visit sa All About Eve. "We had a lot of fun in the set, but I don't think that's how you can sum up the show."
The theme of the show itself, Iza says, is all about ambition. But that's not the word she would use to describe the whole experience of doing this heavy drama series either. For Iza, the perfect way to sum it all up is this: "It's all about relationships."
Tama nga rin naman. From reel to real, the stories of All About Eve revolves around relationships. In front of the camera, it is how the contrasting ways by which Nicole (Iza Calzado) and Erika (Sunshine Dizon) deal with their life and other people formed their fates. Ganun din sa likod ng camera. Kapansin-pansin sa mga interviews with the stellar cast na it's all about relationships pa rin--how they will miss each other, how they got to know each other, and how they all became friends.
"It's a story about family," Richard Gomez proposes. "It's the kind of the story that really touches the lives of people." Playing Frederico sa show, who would do anything for the important women in his life, Richard tells us na sa pamilya at pamilya lagi umiikot ang kwento ng All About Eve.
It's nice and pleasant, para kay Mark Anthony Fernandez. The whole experience of making All About Eve, Mark Anthony shares, is fabulous. Why fabulous? "It's symbolic sa magandang nagawa [namin]. And for one word, somehow it describes the whole thing."
And who can be more fabulous than the main actors and actresses 'di ba? For Keempee de Leon, it's all about the main characters. "Kami on the side, [pero] it's about Sunshine, Iza, Jean [Garcia] and Eula [Valdez], plus Goma."
Pero most importantly, for Alfred Vargas, it's all about drama. "Gusto kong mag-marka sa mga tao 'yung dramatic scenes," he shares during the last taping day, kung saan kinunan ang kanyang hospital scenes. He tells us that the show is about undying love, and then joking, "pero ako, dying."
Sa huling araw ng All About Eve, it is obvious that the show has become a lot of different of things for a lot of different people. Pero in the end, it's all about entertaining you—the viewers.

hmmm.... pmnta x mal tour nila...x sm bacoor... definetely iza lookz pretty... 4 shine... she's not byutiful... 4 alfred... he's handsome... and tall and 4 mark.. he's not 2taly handsome.. unlike... alfred... iza lookz prety than shine... and alfred lookz handsome than mark.. and i lyk d tandem of iza n mark... i want 2 hav a sequel... xna ung cla ang bda... plx...

i will miss aae.. how i wish na magkaroon ng dvd ang aae.. buti na lang bago sila magpaalam nakita ko na si sunshine and ung iba pang steller casts ng aae..

galing ni sunshine sa AAE.. though di kagandahan ang ugali ng character nya pero najujustify naman ok lang at the end sya pa rin naman and nag stand out ... galing nyo gma7 kaya di ako makaalis sa network nyo... sana sunshine movie naman... sana may kasunod pa yung SUNDO na pelikula mo.... yung love story naman sana...sa tingin ko OK ka rin mag comedy, nagawa mo ngang mag comedy sa Bakekang....... try mo uli!!!!! hehehe

aww..it ended. :l i agree, dvd please? hehe. ganda talaga ng iza+mark na tambalan. i think as i watch, "parang natural na natural sila." except for the kissing scenes. parang may ilangan. meron nga ba? hmm..about nicole+frederico relationship, naiinggit ako. it made me miss my dad, who's now in heaven, more. oo nga..hindi ako umiiyak 'pag nanunuod ako ng may kasama pero hindi ko napigilan nung sa hospital scenes. gosh..i hate hospitals. so dramatic. uhmm..considering the entire show, it's amazing how the characters portrayed their roles, how the original and revised twists kept the viewers guessing, and how the whole package itself entertained the masses. kudos! i appreciate it. really, i do. :)

It's a shame that All About EVe only lasted for a season. I could never tire of being a witness to the tumultuous lives of erika, nicole, katrina and alma.

I really love this show! gabi-gabi ko tlga siya tinututukan. all cast are very good! mganda ang tandem ni Izza at Mark Anthony, tlgang may kilig factor! walang tulak kabigin din pag ang scene is Izza and Richard Gomez, lalo na pag naglambingan ung dalawa as father and daughter; and Federico called Nicole as his "princess". and Izza has improve a lot, naiyak ako sa eksena kgabi between Warren and Nicole.
