It's hard to keep up with Alfred Vargas these days. Aside from his two television series sa GMA, sobrang busy din siya sa kanyang mga businesses. And, he's also preparing for the 2010 elections. Kaya naman ng ma-interview siya ng iGMA, he expressed his gratitude sa mga blessings niya ngayong 2009. Text by Loretta G. Ramirez. Photos by Mitch S. Mauricio

Halatang contented si Alfred Vargas ngayon sa mga nangyayari sa kanyang career at personal life. At the moment, he is busy taping for All About Eve and Dear Friend, at siyempre sa mga guestings niya sa GMA shows. Abala rin siya with his investments and businesses among which are restaurants and bars, at ang vegetable farm niya sa Bulacan.


"More or less busy na tayo sa first quarter of this year, kaya naman very grateful ako," pahayag ng aktor.

Idinagdag pa niya na nagpapasalamat siya sa GMA dahil sa sunud-sunod na projects na ibinibigay sa kanya: "I am proud to be a Kapuso! Ako naman, basta dire-diretso ang trabaho, professional ako and I do my best in everything I do."

This is also the case pagdating sa mga businesses niya.

"Hands-on ako sa umpisa, pero once na -delegate ko na—kasi I like training people and I like teaching them how to run things, para hindi lang sarili ko ang natuturuan ko—I pass the knowledge [on] to them. In time, they grow, they get promoted and these are very simple people, ha. I want to impart [to] them something na hindi nila makakalimutan," paliwanag ng management graduate from Ateneo De Manila.

With this kind of outlook in life, hindi na rin kami nasorpresa nang sinabi ni Alfred na balak din niyang tumakbo sa susunod na eleksyon.

"'Yung district ko kasi 'yung pinaka-highest na urban poor area, 'yun 'yung target ko—'yung makatulong ako, 'yung sa Payatas, sa Batasan Hills," ayon sa aktor na nagbabalak kumandidato na councilor ng Quezon City.

   hi alfred! im your fan here in japan, i always watch you in access tv channel 7, kahit anong pagod ko dito sa work, kapag i saw you in tv and in internet talagang im feel happy, your so gwapo talaga, your look gentleman and very handsome talaga, i wish i will see you in personal when i get a vacation this coming october and also na surprise me kasi we have the same birthday october 24, i really admire you, your perfect one!

   oo nga dapat maging thankful ka dahil hindi ka naman ganun kagaling umarte. sana mabasa mo ito at mag-aral ka namang umarte! nakakainis ka na! buti na lang at hindi kayo partner ni iza. naku tiyak masasapawan ka ni mark! buit na lang at si iza ang partner ni mark!
