Isang excited na JC Tiuseco ang naghihintay sa entrance ng Marciano’s restaurant sa Greenbelt 3, anticipating the arrival of his blind date via iGMA’s Valentine date promo. When the winner finally arrived, all eyes were on her and JC. Text by Loretta G. Ramirez. Photos by Mitch S. Mauricio.
Out of a hundred plus entries, si Cherelyn dela Cruz—or Cheers for short—ang mapalad na nanalo ng isang romantic dinner experience with the first Pinoy Sole Survivor na si JC Tiuseco. An HR coordinator from one of the call center companies here in the Philippines, Cheers was ecstatic when she learned na siya ang napili ng iGMA to be JC's Valentine sweetheart.
"Sobrang excited talaga ako! Akala ko hindi totoo na nanalo ako until na-receive ko yung email from iGMA," was her first reaction noong malaman niyang siya ang napili ng iGMA.
“Hindi ko alam kung ano ang i-eexpect ko eh, pero nakita ko na siya (JC) sa TV. Mukha naman siyang mabait, at ngayon napatunayan ko na mabait siya talaga—confirmed,” ang nakangiting sabi ng 23 year-old na dalaga.
JC, on the other hand, said he was looking forward to meet Cheers in person.
“Excited ako, kasi ngayong lang ako makikipag-blind date,” pahayag ni JC, before dumating ang date niya sa Marciano’s, na incidentally ay isa sa mga restaurants na part owner si Marvin Agustin.
During the date, makikita naman na instant ang rapport ng dalawa, and that they didn't mind the cameras and reporters who were there to cover iGMA’s exclusive event.
“Marami na kaming pinag-usapan," kuwento ni JC sa amin nang kamustahin namin sila while they were eating. "Tinatanong ko lang siya kung ano 'yung work niya, kung ilang taon na siya. Same age kami at pareho kaming April [ang birthday]. Three days older lang siya.”
“Masarap 'yung food,” dagdag ni Cheers. And indeed, special nga naman ang inihandang pagkain ng Marciano’s sa kanila, dahil hindi naman ito kasama sa regular menu ng Italian-New York cuisine restaurant.
“I want to thank iGMA for giving me this opportunity, and of course, si JC for meeting me in person. He is a very wonderful person, sobrang mabait at saka down to earth. Genuine siya, so kung anong makikita mo sa kanya, ‘yun siya talaga,” ang huling message ni Cheers, na halatang talaga namang nag-enjoy sa blind date niya with JC.

hi kua jc aLam muh pouh ang gling gling niu poh z survivor....lgi po keung kzama z mga prayers ko eh...kz idol n idol pouh kta.....pti poh crush po kta...whehehe kz gwapo at ang cute nio poh eh....
