In November of 2008, Kyla released her new album 'Heart2Heart' that features original compositions, and a duet that's been making fans swoon! And siyempre, with the release of her album, Kyla is also planning on promoting it, pero paano at saan? Well, we'll let Kyla fill you in. Text by Jason John S. Lim. Photos by Mitch S. Mauricio.
Kyla is no longer just a singer and a composer, para sa kanyang latest album, isa na rin siyang co-producer. "Bale, lahat ng mga songs, I co-produced. Tapos I also have compositions, 'yung 'You Make Me Feel', I wrote it with Jay R and Jimmy [Muna]. Tapos we [meaning, with Jay R] also have a duet na original song din."
Heart 2 Heart is not completely original, pero Kyla promises na 'yung mga cover songs niya "'yung mga magaganda [talaga]."
When asked about the next single na ire-release from the album, Kyla shares na ang gusto niya sana was Back in Time, her duet with Jay R. "We're looking forward to sing it. [We] can't wait, kaya lang, he's not yet here." So while Jay R is dealing with some personal affairs, Kyla says she'll be releasing another cut from her album muna, “Old Friend.”
"Kasi gusto siya talaga ng radio," Kyla reveals and adds na balak din nilang gumawa ng video for this song, pero not anytime soon dahil kakalabas lang din ng video for the title single, “Heart to Heart.”
So while plans for a new music video and another single are on hold, Kyla will be busy doing something else in the meantime, that is promoting herself and her album. Last week, she went to Canada with Janno Gibbs and Allan K for GMA Pinoy TV. "I will also have a show in Dubai in February, I'll be performing with Rivermaya, Parokya ni Edgar and Charice Pempengco."
And after that, "We'll be touring. We'll be having an Asian tour kasi we'll be releasing my album in Asia also. Yehey!" Saan-saan pupunta si Kyla? Kasama sa kanyang destinations ang Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan and China, but this isn’t yet the complete list.
But how are the sales of Heart 2 Heart right now? "So far so good, and I think it's selling ok naman, sabi nila," she notes.
A talent like hers deserves to shine. Kaya naman, go out and buy Heart 2 Heart for that uniquely OPM touch.

Whew ganda ng album niya talaga. I know all of her songs sa heart2heart.. Nawindang lang talaga ako dun sa you make me feel. bagong gising talaga. Ilang beses kong pinakinggan. Favorite ko na tuloy.. Well, still Love on a two way street is my number one song. hehe
