This December 25, the lovable 'Desperadas' sisters are coming back to theaters nationwide! Ano na naman kayang mga kalokohan ang papasukin ng ating favorite movie girls? Alamin natin! Text by Jason John S. Lim. Photos by Mitch S. Mauricio.
Last year, naging breakout hit and Desperadas sa cinemas dahil sa pagiging kwela nito, at dahil na rin sa combined star power nina Ruffa Gutierrez, Rufa Mae Quinto, Iza Calzado and Marian Rivera . So hindi maitatanggi that people would want more.
And now we have Desperadas 2.
Pero if the girls had happily ever afters in the first movie, ano ang magiging story ng sequel? Well, like in real life, hindi rin nagtatagal ang happy endings. Kaya let us list down the things you should look out for in the movie.
We are gathered here today: Kung last year, nakilala natin ang apat na magkakapatid na iba't-iba ang ama—this time, we'll find out na they still have an older sister: Lugaluda (Ogie Alcasid ). Pagkatapos mahanap ang nawawalang ina, Lugaluda heads to the Philippines para makasama siya at maka-bond ang sisters na never niyang nakilala. Pero matatanggap ba siya ng pamilya? Lalo na pag nalaman nila ang tunay na pakay niya sa Pilipinas!
Will you marry me?: Isabella (Ruffa Gutierrez) is living in with Vito (Jay R), pero ayaw pa rin niyang mag-commit sa kanyang boyfriend even when all the signs are saying she should. So will they finally be together for good in this movie? Or will Isabella's not-so-safe ventures into the business world pull them permanently apart?
Take this man: Pagkatapos malaman na pareho pala sila ng tipo ng asawa niya, Patricia (Rufa Mae Quinto) is finally getting over the shock. Amicable pa rin sila ni Dave (Wendell Ramos ), pero not when she finds out about his life-changing plans. Pero failure man ang first marriage niya, things are looking up when she finds new love—in a congressman. Pero happy ending nga ba ang katutuluyan ng pagsasama nila?
'Til death do us part: Or kahit nga baby lang! Stephanie (Iza Calzado) finally got the baby she's been dreaming of—kaso nga lang, with the baby came Post Partum Depression. So ang loka, lalong naging loka-loka! She begins suspecting her husband of an affair, tapos ultimo mga kapatid niya inaaway niya! Can she make peace with everyone before the movie ends? Or meron ba talaga siyang karapatang mang-away?
Man and Wife: Courtney (Marian Rivera) is finally reaping the success of her fashion venture. At dahil dito, Patrick (Will Devaughn) is feeling left out sa buhay niya. When Courtney keeps putting her sisters and her career before her husband, gaano katagal pa kayang kakayanin ni Patrick na magput-up with his wife?
Kiss the Bride: Before the movie ends, magsusuot ang 'Desperadas' sisters ng kani-kanilang mga gowns for a wedding. Ang tanong lang—sino ang ikakasal?
Of course, hindi lang ito ang dapat abangan sa Desperadas 2. There is still that controversial kissing scene between Ogie Alcasid and Carlo Guevarra, 'yung nude scene ni Jay R, at ang agawan nina Iza Calzado at Marian Rivera ng eksena—pero all of these are just the icing on a very delicious cake.
So this December 25, mauna na sa pila! Watch Desperadas 2!
