The month of September ushers in not just one, but two special occasions for 'Bubble Gang'--Francine Prieto's and Maureen Larrazabal’s birthdays! Sexy, beautiful, and successful, we were expecting that these ladies to party and celebrate with a bang. But we were wrong! Both girls have different plans for their big day. Text by Loretta G. Two of the funniest ladies in the local biz, Maureen Larrazabal and Francine Prieto deserve special mention when it comes to being versatile in terms of acting. Celebrating their birthdays this month, iGMA would like to greet these two bubbly girls a very Happy Birthday!
Maureen’s wish
Turning 29 this month, Mau, as she is fondly called by her friends, has no definite plans for her big day yet.
“Usually nagpa-plano ako pero this time parang wala kasi sa dami ng work, parang mas gusto ko na magtrabaho na lang muna,” shares this self-confessed workaholic.
With two regular shows, out-of-town projects and guest appearances, she says that partying isn't an option at the moment. But then, she says she will celebrate her special day with her loved ones: “Definitely I’ll be going out with my family, kain siguro, simple celebration, para ma-remember lang, parang ganun. Hindi naman masyadong engrande.”
We kind of expected that she was going to be with her family on her birthday, as all of her friends attest that Mau is really a family person. In fact, her birthday wish is not entirely for herself. “Wala akong masyadong mahihiling kasi so far okay naman. I am not really asking for anything na personal, except of course para sa family ko, siguro good luck na lang in everything that I do.”
More work for Francine
Many have noticed that Francine has shed off some pounds these past few months. With this, her close friend, Maureen, has this birthday wish for her: “Magtuloy-tuloy nya ang kanyang pagpayat because ngayon pumapayat na siya talaga ng bonggang-bongga!”
Also admitting that she has no big plans for her birthday, Francine confides to us that she is actually expecting to work on her special day. “Nagi-intay nga ako ng work e, kasi usually 'pag birthday ko laging may work talaga na dumadating,” she says.
Now busy with two top-rating shows--Codename: Asero and Bubble Gang--we can’t understand why this statuesque beauty can’t spare a day to give herself a break and celebrate her birthday. In fact, we are not the only ones who are concerned. Even her friends in Bubble Gang expressed their worries.
“Ang wish ko kay Francine is good health, kailangan niya yan, dahil ‘yan si Francine mahilig mag-diet yan tapos biglang nagko-collapse,” says Wendell Ramos.
Michael V., Ogie Alcasid, and Rufa Mae Quinto, on the other hand, all wish Francine and Maureen more blessings for their careers and families.
Whether they will party or not, we do hope that are happy with whatever they will do on their special days. Whatever these Bubble girls decide on doing on that very special of days, iGMA would like to wish them both a very Happy Birthday!
