As Draxor sends in more and more enemies to thwart Fantastic Man and obtain the mysterious “binhi”, LJ Reyes enters the world of superheroes and super powers to cause more mayhem in their lives!
Ever cheerful, LJ Reyes introduces her character as the human version of the “Binhi”. “Ako ‘yung may hawak ng buong mundo. So pag namatay ako: mamamatay na lahat ng tao, lahat ng living things mawawala na. ‘Yun ‘yung character ko.”
Well that’s a cheerful thought. Lucky for everyone who is living, the “Binhi” is being protected by Fantastic Man! But where exactly does LJ come in?
“Kasi nung una, seed lang ako,” LJ explains. She continues that the “Binhi” later on turns human with only pure intentions. “Para (siyang) bata na hindi niya alam. Alam niya kung ano ang masama pero hindi siya nakakagawa ng masama.”
A character that has nothing but good intentions might be a little unbelievable, but LJ is definitely enjoying playing one. “Masaya kasi gusto ko ‘yung character (ni Binhi). Tapos ang pinoprotektahan niya ‘yung buhay ng buong mundo.”
LJ continues to explain that one of the things she enjoys the most about playing Binhi is that even when she’s sleepy or in a bad mood, she quickly lightens up because of the innocence of her character. “Parang gumagaan rin ang feeling ko.”
It might also help that Fantastic Man has a very patient director in Zoren Legaspi. LJ shares that she’s worked with Direk Zoren before, in Kakabakaboo. “Nagulat ako sa kanya noon kasi may drawing talaga frame-by-frame. Nagulat ako kasi first time kong makakita ng director na ganun. Talagang may (storyboard) kung ano ‘yung gusto niyang mangyari sa script -- kung ano ang itsura.”
LJ is excited for people to see Binhi on the show: “Abangan nila kasi si Binhi medyo makulit. Pure siya, parang bata. Pero ‘yung responsibilities niya malaki. Abangan nila kung makukuha ba ni Draxor (the main ntagonist) ‘yung binhi ng daigdig o hindi.”
