Last Monday, May 21, Ruffa Guttierez-Bektas (the current talk of the town), flew to the United States for a much needed rest from the constant barrage of gossip and intrigue. This was according to the star herself.
“I just need this time to be alone, to do a little bit of soul searching,” Ruffa confirmed in an interview with Startalk right before she boarded the plane. She adds that after her reconfirmation as a Christian and her silent retreat, “I feel like I’m starting a new chapter in my life.”
She also volunteered the fact that Ylmaz wholly approved of the trip, saying that what she might really need is to get away from all the brouhaha caused by the issue. Annabelle Rama also agreed that it was a good idea.
Ruffa also comments on Ylmaz’ public apology to her parents.
She said, “Maganda yung gesture niyang yun na he apologized to my mom and dad but I think he should do it personally. Mas magiging sincere at mas magiging meaningful.”
Regarding this, Annabelle replied with, “As the father of my two apos, ok lang sa akin. Pinapatawad ko na siya.” She further stated, “Haharapain namin siya ni Eddie. Pero kung talagang mahal niya si Ruffa, dito na lang siya sa Pilipinas tumira.”
In a phone interview last May 23 with Chika Minute, Ruffa revealed that the next day she will have a face to face talk with her husband. The last time they saw each other was back in February.
Ruffa will have to issue a statement to the Turkish Press because the news has alaso reached the Turkish public. “I just wanna make sure that they get the stories straight,” she stated.
As a last message to her estranged husband, this is what Ruffa had to say. “Whatever it is that we’re going through right now, I’ll just pray na sana maayos. And if not, then let’s just be good parents to our kids.”
