Where do you get your musical talent from?
My father who also sings and plays guitar by ear. We’re bara-bara musicians.

What are your hobbies?
Playing guitar, designing clothes, painting, photography, reading about the 40’s and the 50’s, watching films, singing and recording myself, composing music, video editing, writing.

What music do you listen to?
As of now, vintage jazz, Cab Calloway, Ruth Brown, Billie Holiday. I’m also into big band revivals and classic rockabilly like Elvis and Cash. I like electronic music too.

Do you play any musical instruments? If yes, at what level?
A little bit of guitar but I’m afraid I suck. Although I managed to pull off a solo acoustic gig with my playing when I was 17.

Why did you apply for Pinoy Idol?
I wanted to broaden my horizons as an artist. I had to break the concept of artistic obscurity because I always felt like something was missing and that dark art did not seem that fun anymore after a while.

Where do you sing?

Which singers inspire you and why?
Elvis, Bjork, Tori Amos, SARAH MCLACHLAN, Amy Winehouse, BILLIE HOLIDAY. They all never fail to make me feel alive and human.

What’s your claim to fame?
Singing “My Immortal” first as a joke but then got really into it which caught the attention of a few people.

What 3 things would you take to a desert island with you?
A knife, a mirror.

Who in your life has been most inspiring to you? How?
Maybe my mother. I don’t know, maybe its because she’s basically my life.
